Happy Valentines Day to you all, I hope you have a nice day….my husband and I do not celebrate that much, we will just be staying home and having a meal and bottle of wine. What are you all doing?

On special days like this we can either have a normal working day or decide to take the day off, that is the beauty of working from home. We can change our plan for the week to work around having some free time if we wish to do something special.

I wrote a post last year about Taking The Day Off we had friends visiting and I took the afternoon off, you can link to it and have a read….

A few of the things we can do to carry on with our business are:

1 Write and schedule a few blog posts, so that if the day you take off is the day you publish a post then it will be automatically posted for you.

2 Schedule a few Social Media sites to send out some status updates, tweets etc, normally I mix it up with automated and manuel updates and tweets but for one day I think it’s ok to hhave them all automated.

3 Invite some other bloggers that you are connected with to write a guest post for you so again you can have that scheduled to publish at the day and time you wish.

Let’s talk more about Guest Blogging

If you’re a blogger, you may have been asked to write a guest post by another blogger, or you might have offered a guest post yourself to a blogger you admire.

Either way, writing a guest post opens you up to a whole new audience and can increase your own readership into the bargain. Blog readers that may never have heard of you otherwise now have their eyes on you.

Add to that the credence that comes with someone else thinking enough of you to have you on their blog, and a guest post is a pretty big thing.

Guest blogging isn’t complicated. It really only requires two things:

Effective outreach to build relationships

High-quality content that site owners want to publish

Here are a few rules to follow if you want to write a guest post for someone:

Make It Great

If someone has taken the time to give you space on their blog and put you in front of their audience, the very least you can do is make sure that the post you provide is top notch. Before you send the post, ask yourself the following questions:

Would I be happy posting this on my own blog?

Is this the best this post can possibly be on this topic?

Am I being relevant to the audience of the blog I’m posting on?

Unless you can answer yes to at least two of these questions (the relevance factor may not come into play if the blog owner wants to mix things up a bit), then your guest post isn’t ready.

Research

What’s your guest post going to be about? Did you make the suggestion of the post, or did the blog owner ask you to guest? Either way, one thing you need to make sure of is that you do your research.

This could be of the blog’s archives, to get a feel for the topics that normally appear there. More than likely it’s going to be about the topic you’re writing about.

Let’s face it, you wouldn’t write a load of rubbish on your own blog, would you? So why even think about doing it to another blogger? Quote your sources and link to external references and sites and make sure the blogger you’re writing for doesn’t end up looking an ass as he or she tries to cover your mistakes in the comments.

This might seem a harsh view, but think of it as if it was your blog. Get the facts right; get the blog right.

Format

When you guest post for someone, provide the format you want it to appear in. Think of how you’d want it to appear on your blog, and then make sure you provide that information with the post itself:

Header(s) and sub-header(s).

Bullets or numbers.

Hyperlinks to external sources or sites.

Images with accreditation to the source.

Author bio.

If you’re unsure on the formatting side, take a look at the blog you’re going to guest on and go with the formatting that blogger uses. Or, simply ask them.

Remember to Visit

When you write a guest post, where do you stop? Is it the moment you finish typing and hit the Send tab on your email, or is it a quick visit to see how popular your post was?

Or are you a blogger who genuinely cares, so you’ll follow up your guest post much like you’d follow up a post on your own blog? After all, it’s still your name on the post, so why should you act any differently just because it’s not on your own blog?

Respond to comments made by the readers of the blog you’re guesting on.

Promote via social networks, much the same as you’d promote your own stuff.

Connect with commenters online and continue to build the relationship started on your guest post.

Write a post on your own blog, expanding the discussion started in your guest post and link to it, offering more traffic to the blogger who’s giving you space.

While you don’t have to follow these unwritten rules when guest posting on another blog, they help you stand out as someone who actually cares.

After all, if you can’t be bothered to offer anything but your best when taking over another blogger’s baby, should you even bother at all?

How about you – what would you add as an unwritten rule when guest blogging?

Would you like to write a guest post for my blog? I am thinking of starting posting a guest post once a month so I am looking for offers

One thing you can use as a free gift for your opt in form can be a Short Report, but how do you create one?

Don’t panic, it is easier than you think, before I created my first one I admit I did panic and think “I can’t do that!” but then I sat down and came up with a plan and do you know it WAS so much easier than I thought it would be.

So how to start creating your report?

Start by collecting 5 to 10 articles or even good blog posts that you’ve written. You want them to be topically related. What do I mean by that? Let’s look at some examples.

1 If you are in the parenting niche, you could create a short report on potty training by finding a few of the articles or blog posts you’ve written over the years on potty training a toddler.

2 If you are in the weightloss niche, you may want to find a few exercise articles or posts you’ve written or those around a particular weightloss program.

3 If you are in the IM niche, you may want to create a short report on how to write and submit articles and find content around that topic.

I would look for content that is closely related and focus on teaching your readers to solve a particular problem. If you have any artilcles that you have published then look through those and see which ones you can use, you can also look through any blogs you have and repurpose the content there.

You spend all this time writing quality content, you might as well make the most of it!

The next thing you want to do is take your articles and copy and paste them into a document. If you have Microsoft Office, use MS Word. If not, I recommend you download and install Open Office at: www.OpenOffice.org It’s a free software package similar to MS Word.

Next, grab each article, copy and paste in into a notepad file. This will remove any weird formatting or coding from the article. If you are using articles you’ve submitted to an article directory, delete the resource box, then paste the article from your notepad file into the Word document.

Repeat this for every article you want to include into the short report. I recommend you go ahead and paste them in there in some sort of logical order.

Next you want to write a short little introduction to the report. Tell them what they can expect to find in the report. If you’d like, you can also tell your readers a little bit about yourself. This doesn’t have to be much, just a paragraph or two will do.
Adding a picture of you and a signature image is a nice touch, but not entirely necessary.

After that’s done, I like to go through the rest of the document, editing the articles as needed and adding transitions to make sure everything flows nicely.
Transitions can be a simple as “now that you know how to do x…let me show you how you can also do y”

Now that your report is starting to look pretty, let’s quickly talk about monetization. Your main goal may be to use the report to grow your list, but there’s nothing wrong with making some money at the same time. If there is an opportunity within the content of your report to mention an affiliate product or a product of your own that might be helpful, by all means, include it with a link.
I also like to add a little resource section at the end of my report with a list of products.

A word of caution: Don’t go overboard and don’t get too pushy with these offers, just list them. Your readers will find them and if they are interested, they’ll click on them and buy.

Last but not least, let’s talk about how to turn your Word or Open Office document into a PDF. Save your document and then:

- In MS Word, go to File –> Save As –> PDF
- In Open Office, go to File –> Export As PDF

Take a look at your finished PDF file and make sure everything looks OK and the links are clickable. If everything looks fine, it’s time to upload your report to your web server.

Upload the PDF file via your favorite FTP program (I recommend Filezilla) and link to it either a download page or directly via email.
If I’m using the free report to build a list, I link to it from the thank you page that my subscribers land on after they confirm their email subscription.

That’s all there is to it. Just following these simple steps and you can put together your own short report in just an hour or two. Put it on your to-do list for today (or at the very least for this week) and create your first free report!

Have you created a report yet? if you have has it been successful for you? or have you been thinking about creating one and have not done anything about it yet? I would love to hear from you so please leave your comment below and share your thoughts.

Following on my from last post I would like to talk about how to write Follow Up Emails to add to your autoresponder.

Maybe I should have written this post before the opt in one, I needed to tell you that before you add the form to your blog you will have to write at least the welcome email and schedule it into your autoresponder.
Your first email should simply be an introduction to your new subscribers. It tells them where they can download the free gift you promised them when they signed up and it gives you a chance to tell them a little about yourself and your business.
You should also explain to your subscriber what they can expect from you in the future. You probably don’t want to try and sell anything in your first email but if you want to include a link to another free gift this is a great way to let your reader know that they should expect to receive other links from you in the future.

Once you have the first email set up you can then publish your opt in form to your blog and get those subscribers to your list.

If the free gift they signed up for is a multi-part ecourse, then you already have your content for the first few emails, if not, then you’ll need to create a series of at least 7-12 autoresponder messages for starters.

Two of the reasons for creating a series of messages are:

1) It helps you start building trust and a relationship with your subscribers, people buy from those they know, like, and trust.

2) It also creates a stream of income for you, but do not start sending out promotional emails from the start, I always say send at least 5 or 6 content filled emails forst and then you can add a product that you would like them to buy from you, or better still make 1 in 8 or 10 emails a promotional one.

No one wants to be on your list if all you ever do is sell, sell, sell! The reason people join your mailing list is because they want something of value for being on your list. If they fail to see your value, they will unsubscribe even faster than you can say, “opt-out”!

As mentioned, you’ll want to start with at least 7-12 messages. However, each week you should commit to adding a few more messages to your series.

How frequently should they go out?

I like to set up the first few emails in my autoresponder to send every day, after a few days they start sending out every 2 days, then 3 days, and eventually every 7 days.

I do this to spread out the amount of time my subscribers receive emails from me but I know that the day they join is when they are most responsive so I try to send out my emails more often at the beginning. I usually try to send something out at least once a week so my subscribers don’t forget me.
I recommend that you sign up to your list yourself to make sure everything works like it should. Joining your own list will allow you to observe the entire process just as one of your subscribers would see it. It gives you a chance to read your autoresponder emails right in your inbox and make any changes to your follow-up series before anybody else sees them.

What should you write in your follow ups?

The first thing you should include in your series is whatever you promised subscribers on your opt in page. That’s your most important consideration initially – because if your subscribers don’t get what they expect and what they were promised, they won’t be subscribers for long.

I would make sure the follow up emails contain content in the same niche as the free gift, it is not good to send them a series of emails on “how to grow vegetables” if they signed up for information on “how to train your dog” these are extreme examples but I think you know what I mean

In your emails, also add a little line saying “need help with your list building (or anything that relates to the niche), hit reply and ask me any questions you have” just something friendly like that it helps you to connect with your subcribers and build a relationship with them, showing them you care and want to help.

The importance of a great headline!

The headline of the emails you add to your autoresponder should have one purpose… to get people to open your emails and read the rest of your message. Try to avoid subjects that sound like sales pitches. Keep it personal and try to only provide enough information so that they need to open the email to find out what you are talking about.

To get ideas for great headlines, pay attention to the e-mails you receive from other members. When you find interesting headlines, put them in a swipe file. Later you can use this file to get inspiration when you write your own headlines.

Another good tip is to personalise your headline, most autoresponders have the function to do this, for example, if one of your subscriber’s names was “Susan” and you sent out an autoresponder email that said “Hello {!firstname}.” Susan’s email would say “Hello Susan”. Some people would disagree and say they have better success without this but I prefer to include it, it is a matter of choice.

Don’t get upset when people unsubscribe from your list! Unsubscribes are good. It tells you that people are receiving your emails but the content isn’t right for them. You want these people to unsubscribe because it tells you that the people who are left are actually interested in the emails you are sending.
Obviously if 95% of your readers are unsubscribing then you might want to go back and make sure your content matches the information that your subscribers signed up to receive.

Do you set up and write your follow up emails in a different way? Do you agree with including the name in the headline? Do you have any further tips I have missed? I would love to know your thoughts on this, as laways please leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

You have all heard that you must have a list to move forward with your business. It would be impossible to build and maintain a list without using autoresponders. Today’s generation of top‐of‐the‐line autoresponders deal with a variety of functions. Not only do they store email addresses, but they also have the ability to send out scheduled automated emails.

Most autoresponders track a variety of statistics based not only on sign‐up rates, but also on the click‐through rates and open rates of emails. In short, they can do pretty much everything that you’d ever need done to help manage your list.

Just to get you started, here are the two best autoresponder services that are currently
available:

Aweber - By far the most established autoresponder; it has a huge list of features, and
also claims to be able to avoid junk mail filters the best. You can sign sign up for $1 for the first month

Get Response – Aweber’s main rival, it is almost as good in terms of the number of
features on offer, and a lot cheaper, especially for large lists. They have a 30-day free trial.

Of course, seeing as you’re just starting out with list building, you may not want to invest too much money right from the start. There are a few free ones you can sign up with, eventually though, you’re definitely going to want to go with a paid option such as Aweber or GetResponse, just because they have so many additional features that will end up saving you a lot of time.

If you want more people to join your list, give them a good reason to want to join your list. Incentives are the name of the game, and they can come in many shapes or sizes. Give your visitors something of value, for instance, a free report regarding some issue that is faced by many of your visitors would no doubt be of value to them, and at the same time, by writing one and helping them out, you’d be establishing your reputation as a trusted source of help and information.

If you don’t just want to hand out reports, there are other ways to go about this too. Free
newsletters, free one‐month memberships (if you run a membership website), free PLR articles or software… the possibilities are pretty much endless.

One thing that many people sometimes overlook is that a good list is like a relationship – it takes work to maintain it. If you stop having dealings with your list for a long period of time, they’re likely to forget you, and then when they receive an email from you will be thinking, “Hey, who on earth is this guy and why is he emailing me?”

While you definitely want to avoid letting your list lapse into inactivity, you also want to avoid over‐saturating your list with emails. Starting to send emails every couple of hours would be a very bad idea, especially if they’re all mostly just sales pitches.
A good approach is to never send two sales pitches in a row. Space them out
to maybe 1 sales pitch for every 4 to 5 emails, and in between, be sure to include freebies or information that is valuable.

If you develop a regular schedule of maybe emailing your list twice a week or so, and space out your sales pitches too, then you’re on the right track. If the emails you send in between as ‘fillers’ contain great info and freebies, then you’ll even find that your subscribers are actually eager and waiting to hear from you at your next scheduled time.
Thus, your relationship with your list can flourish, and they’ll be much more open to any
suggestions of purchases that you might make.

In my next post I will continue with this topic and talk more about creating an opt in page and how to Get More OptIns, if there is anything else you would like me to include I would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below and share your thoughts, which autoresponder do you prefer? do you have one?

To your success

Thanks for reading

I did plan to get this post out yesterday but I have been feeling a bit down as I have a bad toothache and the pain is awful, I know I will need to visit my dentist Not the kind of thing I wanted to have now as I have just got into work mode after the Christmas & New Year holidays.

Last time I talked about Forum Marketing and I had many comments with mixed views, I love it when my readers tell me what they really think of my post and not just writing “great post” which as we know is not the way to comment on a blog.

A couple of people asked me for some links to Forums so I will list a few, I must say most of them are for the newbies or less experienced marketers where they can gain knowledge and make connections.

Top of my list is of course the Warrior Forum, again some people love it while some people hate it or have had a bad experience there.

One of my readers Sonia Winland told me of 2 that she visits on a regular basis Virtual Assistant Forum and ThesitGirls

I found a list of Internet Marketing Forums from a blog post by Heide Holtz there are quite a few listed so hopefully you may find one that you like.

I would like to talk a little about our plans/goals and dreams for the New Year.

Did you achieve all you wanted for last year? I know I did not, so this year I have changed the way I am making my list of goals (as I call mine), some of you might want to call them resolutions, dreams plans or goals like myself.

I think last year I made too long a list and made the goals so big they became unachievable, I also had a few months back in the summer where my online business had to go on hold due to unforseen circumstances. I sat down in December and started planning for 2013, I made my goals smaller and prioritized them, I then listed a month by month plan in the hope of achieving them all this year.

I read a post along similar lines at Dan Sumner’s blog where he has a mind map plus he has made a video to share with his readers his plans for 2013, go over and take a look I enjoyed it so I’m sure you will too

Whatever your plans are for 2013 I wish you every success.

What are your plans? which way do you plan? I would love to hear from you so please leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

To your success

Thanks for reading

Pauline

Happy 2013 to all my readers, I wish you every success for this coming year.

In my first post of 2013 I am going to talk about Forum Marketing

Forums are a great way to increase traffic to your blog as well as connect with other marketers, as I have said before building relationships is a must for your business.

Why is Forum Marketing Effective?
Forum marketing is a form of marketing where you market your business through online discussion groups also known as forums.
First you join a forum and start adding valuable and helpful posts to the discussions. However, you are not allowed to advertise or market directly through your posts, this is called spamming. After registering as a member of the forum you can create your own signature file (make sure the forum allows it).

In this signature file you can hyperlink a keyword phrase back to your blog, which when clicked will take the person to your site.

Here are 5 benefits of forum marketing.

1 Always remember that when you are posting you are helping someone else out. It is a great feeling when you get to help the other person.

2 You get to learn a lot for free. When I first started visiting forums I did not feel confident to post, I only read other people’s posts. I hung out in the Warrior Forum and learned a lot which essentially helped me grow my business

3 You’ll get free advertising from your signature. People read your posts and view your signature and click on the link to your blog. This type of traffic is very passive and a great source of sales and subscribers to your mailing list.

4 Search engines will give you credit for a backlink when you hyperlink your keyword phrase back to your website. By simply making regular posts you will be generating backlinks to your website. Backlinks will help improve your site ranking in the search engines and eventually get you even more traffic.

5 One other huge benefit is that you get ideas for new content by going through the different kinds of questions people ask. A good question usually stimulates a lot of discussion. Such questions can easily be turned into good
posts.

These are just a few good reasons for you to include forum marketing as part of your overall marketing strategies. Be consistent and you will definitely reap the benefits.

There are a few things to remember before you start.

First learn the rules of the road. Not following the rules will get you quickly banned in the forums, even if it is allowed you should not advertise through your posts or comments. Rely on your signature to promote you and your business.
Before you start actually posting anything go through the contents of the forum thoroughly at least once. By reading through the different threads on the forum you will have a good idea about what the forum is all about and the best way you can approach it. If you try to dive right in, that might have a negative impact within the forum and that is one thing you will definitely want to avoid.

Always remember that along with the newcomers the best known brains in the online marketing industry are also posting in these forums. So, before you post something on a given topic or try to comment on a post make sure you have the necessary expertise to make that comment. If you do not have the necessary knowledge and shoot from the hip then at best you will be ignored or at worse, experience marketers might call you out on it and that could ruin your reputation.

Make replies to threads only when you can help someone with a problem. Forums are all about helping each other with a common goal, be sure to keep that in mind. If you can provide help then absolutely go for it. Good or bad the reputation you create in the forums will stick with you through out your internet marketing career.

When I first started visiting forums I became quite addicted and ended up spending hours in them, so be careful not to waste too much of your valuable time, I limit myself to 30 mins a day now.

Have you tried using forums? if you have I would love to hear your views, have you had good experiences or bad?
Please leave any comments below and share your thoughts.

To your success

Thanks for reading

I hope you are all nearly ready for Christmas and not too stressed. My husband and I are having a quiet time at home so I am so relaxed this year!

Today I would like to answer a few questions on the subject of Resell Rights

Resell Rights can sound all “alien” to you especially if you are new to Internet Marketing so I would like to list a few questions and answers to give you a better understanding of the subject.

1 Are all Resell Rights products the same in terms and conditions?

All Resell Rights are not created equally, it can vary from one product to the next with different rights, terms, and conditions. In fact, some products that are contained in a Resell Rights package are not for resell at all, but are instead for personal use only.

If you purchase a resell rights package which contains more than one product, the package will usually contain a resell license agreement for each product. Do not assume anything! Read every word of the resell license before you resell the product, and keep that license in a safe place for future reference.

For some products you may be allowed to resell the product for any price, or even give it away for free. Others may have a set price, meaning that you cannot sell the product for less than that price or give it away for free.

2 What is the difference between Resell Rights & Private Label Rights?

Many people are confused about the difference between resell rights and private label rights, some people think that they are the same thing but they are not.

If you have resell rights you have the right to resell the product, in conjunction with the terms and conditions set forth in your license, this means that you cannot alter or edit the product in any way, and you cannot put your name on it as the author.

If you have private label rights you can edit and alter the product as you wish, you can even put your own name, on the product as the author. You can change words, chapters, graphics, add to the product, break the product down into several different products – whatever you choose to do.

Because you have more freedom with private label rights these types of products generally cost more to purchase the rights for. Some products can have two options when you purchase them: resell rights or private label rights. In fact, you can use your private label rights products and sell the resell rights to others, after you have changed the product and put your name on it.

There is also a difference between resell rights and master resell rights. Resell rights simply give you the right to resell the product, while master resell rights allow you to resell the product and the resell rights!

3 What Ways Can I Profit from Resell Rights products?

There are many ways to profit from resell rights products, the first way of course is to simply resell the product. However there are ways that you can create even more profits, it just takes a little thought and creativity.

You can profit more from your resell rights product by repackaging it, including more products and raising the value of the package – which in turn raises the price. If you have master resell rights of the product, which allows you to sell the resell rights as well, you can create a nice package of various related products and sell resell rights to that package as well.

You could even simply sell the product or give it away if you are allowed to do so, in order to use a squeeze page to build your list.

4 What Should I Look for in a Product before Purchasing Its Rights?

Before you purchase resell rights you need to do some research to find out whether purchasing the resell rights will be profitable for you. Not all resell rights products are worth having.

First take a look at the product itself, is it a quality product? Even though your name is not on the product itself, your name will be associated with selling the product, and you don’t want to sell junk. So make sure that the product does what it promises, and that it is indeed of value.

Next you need to research the market, is there a market for the product?
An easy way to find out is to do a search in Google using keywords that potential customers would use to search for the product. Look at the sites that are advertising similar products.

Read the license agreement before making the purchase, if it is not available to you without purchasing first thenforget it. You want to check the license to make sure that you can market the product effectively using methods that you know work.

You want to know if the sales letter converts, but you also may want to make sure that you are allowed to change the sales letter. Also see if you can find out how many people are currently reselling the product, is the market flooded? 90% of the people with resell rights either won’t be reselling the product, or they don’t know how to effectively market the product.

Those are just a few questions and answers for you but there are lots more, do you have some? I would love for you to share some so please leave any comments below.

I have decided to do a series of small posts to give you some tips on Blogging which of course can help you build your list.

5 Tips To Make Blogging Easy

Many bloggers find it difficult to blog regularly, where as other bloggers find it easy to blog everyday.

As you may know for your blogging to be effective you need to add fresh content to your blog on a regular basis. In this post I am giving you five tips that you can use to make blogging easy.

Write your blog content in advance and save it so that it’s ready to be posted everyday. When you have time try to write enough blog content that will be enough for several days or for the whole week. You can write and save your blog posts on your blog, and all you have to do is to publish the posts everyday. This means that on those days when you do not have the time to write you can still post fresh content on your blog using the blog posts you would have saved.

Blog about a wide range of things that relate to your niche. Think about any information relating to your niche which your website visitors will be interested in seeing on your blog. Identify the sub-niches in your niche and write about those as well, you should never run out of ideas on what to blog about.

Invite your blog visitors to leave some comments relating to your posts and your niche. This is an easy way of getting unique content on your website, the more interaction you allow on your blog the more content you will have on your blog.

Research and look for the key questions and issues that people in your niche are interested in, and provide information that addresses those questions on your blog. Look in the relevant forums for the hot topics that people are asking and provide answers to these questions on your blog. This will make your blog useful to your visitors because it will have information which your visitors are looking for. This gives you a wide range of topics that you can blog about.

Use PLR content, customize it and make it unique and break it into blog posts. It is essential that you make the PLR content very unique otherwise you will be penalized for duplicate content. Using PLR content as a starting point for your blog posts means that you will be able to create blog content easily and quickly.

Use these five tips outlined above to make blogging easy. The more you blog, the more traffic you drive to your website.I will be giving you more tips next time so look out for my next post, in the mean time please leave any comments below and share any further tips you have.

I hope all my friends in the US had a great Thanksgiving, did you pick up any bargains on Blck Friday?

A while back I wrote a few posts about JV Giveaways, Why Take Part In A Giveaway Event was one of them but now I would like to go over again what a JV Event is in case you missed my original post.

Of course you will always get the “freebie seekers” that will sign up just for the free gift and then unsubscribe but there are genuine people out there that will stay with you.

What is a Giveaway?

A giveaway is an event where lots of Internet Marketers join together and submit
a free gift for everyone to download in exchange for people signing up to their newsletters.

They are good to get you started in your online business in 2 ways.

Firstly if you sign up as a member you can download lots of free products and mostly with some sort of resell rights, even Private Label Rights sometimes which means you will be able to resell them yourself.

Secondly this is a great no cost way to build up your product collection for reselling or to give away and build your own mailing list.

I would be careful though not to sign up for every event that is taking place just because it is FREE or you will end up downloading products multiple times, signing up for a
couple of hundred newsletters and clogging up your hard drive and your e-mail inbox!

With a little preparation though you can freely sign up to as many giveaways as you want but still keep things organized, you can also sign up to most of them as a contributor which means you also get to submit a gift for people to download and this is also a good way to build up your own subscriber list which you can promote your products to.

How does a Giveaway work?

The host of the Giveaway Event invites Partners, (who are primarily list owners in the same niche), to contribute a gift – something to be given away free.
The gifts are usually digital products, like these:
EBook
Report
Audio/Video product
Software
The host of the event then puts all the gifts contributed collectively by the partners into the members area which is where visitors to the Giveaway will go to view and then download any of the gifts of their choice.

The link to any gift the visitor clicks on will take them to a signup page of the partner who owns that gift. As a partner in the Giveaway, you will prepare an opt-in page for visitors, so that you can require them to sign up to your list before downloading your gift.
While each gift is given away at zero-cost to visitors, anyone who wants to download your gift must opt into your mailing list before getting it.

Before you start joining your first Giveaway even there are a few things you will need to get sorted.

You will need to make or obtain a Gift to contribute, you can create your own product or use a PLR product.
You need to have a Sign-up Page where new visitors can Opt-in to receive your gift.
You need an Autoresponder service that will keep track of your subscribers, and provide a mechanism for you to contact them frequently.
You need a Download Page where the link to your gift will be shown to those who opted-in.

You will also need:

A Photo & Signature – it would make your landing page more professional looking, and might just help to boost your signup rate. People love to get a feeling for who they are dealing with.

Your Gift Image – people DO judge a book by its cover, especially online. Be sure to prepare your gift image at various sizes (large, medium and small) because chances are that the Giveaway host will need one from you to display on their gifts page.

You will need places to advertise and promote the event, this can be your own list (even if it is a small list to begin with) you can use social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, and free advertising sites like ListJoe.

I discovered Giveaways a little while ago and now I am hooked and I have built up my list very quickly through these events so I will be writing many more posts on this subject to help you get started with your online business.

Here are a few Giveaways that are looking for new contibutors at the moment

Have you had success with JV Giveaways? do you love them or hate them? I would love to know what you think and any stories you may like to share, please leave any comments below.

My summer job is coming to an end this week and I am so glad, I can now get back to the job I really enjoy, but like most people I needed to make some extra money hence the need for my extra job.

I have been thinking about which direction I want to take now, I still love “List Building” so I am going to keep up with that but also I am going to add “Affiliate Marketing” as well.

At the moment I am sitting making a new plan for myself so I will be posting quite a lot in the next few weeks and then I will be back to my 2 times a week posts unless I have something important I want to share with my readers when I shall have an extra post for you all.

One thing I have been doing the past couple of weeks is advertising “Effortless Web Cash Formula”

I give away a free e-book and make money at the same time that goes directly into my PayPal account, I know a lot of people have been saying that this is a scam but I can tell you first hand that it is not, I have made a lot of money through this so please take a look at the site and I would appreciate your comments.

So I will be back tomorrow with another post so I would love it for you to come back to visit.

To your success

Thanks for reading
